Helen has had a life long passion for books and is an avid reader, whilst her husband Nigel enjoys reading about the paranormal.

Our shop, House of Books came about after we decided that our house was shrinking due to the thousands of books stored in it, so we decided to develop our online business, selling from a 'real' shop.

As they both have an interest in Psychic phenomena, UFO's, Angels, New Age, etc., they offer a good selection of books relating to this, and Nigel gives psychic readings from the shop too.

Both Helen & Nigel have been involved in Education, working within schools, and offer a good range of resources/ reference books/ teaching packs,  mainly for primary schools and adult education.

Primarily, we sell books at the shop, but we also offer genuine Psychic Readings to our customers with Nigel Mortimer, who has over 20 years experience as a psychic medium. He has lectured  and given demonstrations around the UK, appeared on TV, and writes for newspapers and magazines.

We hold regular meetings -Psychic Development evenings at the shop too, where you can get involved in progressing aand learning about your own psychic-self.

Psychic Readings are offered on Saturday's at the shop, and you can book on here if you would like a reading.
